Nutcracker Let’s Dance Family Workshops

Let’s Dance Family Workshops can be a fun way to prepare your child to see Nutcracker for the first time—or a delightful afternoon for kids who already know our production by heart. Held in the studios of San Francisco Ballet on November 3 (ages 6–9) and November 10 (ages 3–6), these Sunday morning workshops offer insight into the story, characters, music, and choreography that you can then see onstage in December.

The Nutcracker Let’s Dance Family Workshop includes an interactive ballet intro to Nutcracker, taught by SF Ballet School faculty member Miss Kristi, a chance to watch excerpts from Act II of Nutcracker, and an opportunity to meet and take photos with dancers.

This is a fun event designed to be shared by children and their caregivers, so children must be accompanied by an adult. No previous dance experience is necessary! Children should wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement (ballet shoes are not required). Children are welcome to wear their favorite ballet costume.
